Knife fixture upgrade to 24 inch length of knife. The standard knife grinding fixture included with the AV-40 packages is a 20 inch length of knife fixture. This upgrade allows you to sharpen up to 24 inches of jointer, planer, and wood chipper knives. This is the same knife fixture from our AV-54 automatic knife grinder. It also has an added chipper knife bar for easy alignment to the grinding wheel. Thorvie knife grinding fixtures are manufactured to grind straightness & Flatness within .0005″ per inch. Flat grind carbide jointer, planer and chipper knives up to 24 inch length or hollow grind HSS jointer and planer knives.

With this upgrade, in the future if you are sharpening a lot of wood chipper knives, you can easily upgrade into our AV-54 auto knife grinder. You already have the knife fixture and we send the rest of the machine.
